Our Story
Oulton Gin, named for it's proximity to historic Oulton Smithy and Oulton Park race track in the Cheshire countryside. I discovered my love for creating gin during the lockdowns of 2020 shortly after moving to the Smithy and received a gin making course for my 40th Birthday. This gave me the know-how and encouragement to host small gin making workshops for guests staying at Oulton Smithy, where myself and my wife Louise run a boutique holiday let. All the while the development of our signature gin was happening in the background. The time and recipe now being right to launch the original Oulton Gin.
Inspiration
Inspired by time spent in the picturesque town of Menton, known as the 'Pearl of France', a hidden gem famous for it's lemon, lime and orange trees which line the winding boulevards, scenting the warm night air with the sweet scent of neroli, inspiring the citrus flavour profile of Oulton Gin. This romantic frontier town is located on the border between France and Italy on the Cote D'Azur, a special place for our family and we invite you to let Oulton Gin transport you to a sun-drenched terrace overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean sea.

Distilling at Oulton Smithy Distillery
The Gin
At Oulton Gin our mission is to provide you with the highest quality gin. Each bottle is individually distilled in one of our 30 traditional copper
1 litre stills. We use these to achieve the best possible flavour, the London dry gin is infused with both exotic and Mediterranean botanicals. Zesty orange and lime compliment a distinctive juniper base, warming vanilla and cardamon mingle for a smooth and morish finish.
